About Me

I’m Andrés Fekete, a certified Spanish-to-English translator, transcriber, and consecutive interpreter with over 20 years of experience. Born in Rhode Island to Uruguayan parents, I’ve spent most of my adult life in Latin America, giving me a bicultural perspective that informs every project I take on.

I specialize in fields such as law enforcement, immigration, and environmental issues, where accuracy, confidentiality, and cultural nuance are essential. My academic background includes a Certificate in Spanish-to-English Translation from New York University and a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Rhode Island, where I was awarded the Thelen Scholarship for excellence in Hispanic Studies.

Since launching Flip Translations in 2005, I’ve worked with legal assistants, project managers, and language service providers who value my responsiveness, attention to detail, and formatting expertise.
